Statement of Faith
At New Life, our faith is central to everything we do. We believe that our work is grounded in the love and teachings of Jesus Christ, and we strive to live out His example through service to others. Our Statement of Faith is a reflection of the core beliefs that guide our mission and the support we provide to the community.
We Believe in One God
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus: The Way, The Truth, The Life
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, healing, and salvation to all who trust in Him. We believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life, and that salvation is found through faith in Him alone.
The Holy Spirit: God’s Presence Within Us
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live according to God’s will. The Holy Spirit guides, comforts, convicts, and equips us to carry out God’s work in the world, and it is through Him that we experience God’s love and power in our daily lives.
The Bible, God’s Living Word
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by human hands but guided by the Holy Spirit. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice, providing wisdom, guidance, and instruction for living a life pleasing to God.
Salvation, by Grace through Faith
We believe that salvation is the deliverance from the consequences of sin. It is a free gift from God, made available to all who repent and ask for His forgiveness. To receive salvation, one must also believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Salvation cannot be earned through good works, because it is a gift of grace. The reward of this gift is eternal life with God.
In His mercy, God has extended salvation to all who believe in Him.
Church is the Community of Believers
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, called to gather together in worship, prayer, fellowship, and in service. The Church exists to love and serve others, to share the message of Christ, and to encourage each other in our spiritual journeys.
The Power of Prayer
Simply put, prayer is talking to God.
We believe there is power in talking to God because we understand that He is the only one that can work with us to bring emotionally healing, peace, and guidance. Through prayer, we seek God’s will and invite Him into our lives to bring about change.
We also believe that prayer is essential in the work we do as a community, offering support and hope to those in need.
We Believe in Loving Our Neighbours
We believe that loving others is at the heart of the Christian faith. We are called to care for and support those in need, offering compassion, encouragement, and practical help. We seek to reflect the love of Christ by showing kindness and offering hope to all, regardless of background, belief, or circumstance.
